Have Crisis? Bring Kleenex!

I feel like I have left this group in a big quiet hole for over a month. For that I apologize! I will be sure to welcome our newest members as soon as I can, so please know I have been thinking about everyone!

We have been in crisis for over a month. I won't get into the story except to say that it has been very difficult with my 13 yr old. He went into psychosis and attempted to hurt himself. He was hospitalized at the adolescent psychiatric ward for 6 days and left with new meds and more stab… Continue

What things do… Continue

WANTED - lunch box help

Samuel, my 8 year old, does not eat much during the day. This may or may not be a side effect from the medication. This year I have been packing a lunch each day. (I figured this was a better option than paying $2 for the school lunch to be thrown away.) The school has informed me that Samuel drops his ½ a sandwich on the floor so that he does not have to eat it. He eats the fruit snack, flavored water, and sometimes the dessert. He won’t eat fresh fruit that I pack and often does not eat the pr… Continue
